JULY 2 - 5, 2020
117th Annual Cowboys' Roundup Days
For more than 100 years Steamboat Springs, Colorado has celebrated Independence Day in true western fashion. Though many of our traditional events can’t take place this year, we want to pause, reflect, and celebrate the many reasons we love our country and mountain town by bringing together residents and visitors while protecting the health and safety of our community.
RED WHITE AND BLUE DRIVE-THROUGH
A new take on our classic parade, this event brings all the essential elements of a patriotic procession to the neighborhoods of Steamboat Springs. The Drive-Through will eliminate groups congregating on Lincoln Ave and allow people to adhere to public health orders and physical distancing requirements. Police cars and fire trucks will lead the procession in a rolling closure through town and streets will remain open. A live broadcast from Steamboat Radio will track the location of the procession. The full route maps are below.
HOW TO CELEBRATE SAFELY
There are several ways to enjoy the celebrations this year while being mindful of all health and safety requirements. We have taken thoughtful steps in Steamboat to be able to welcome our visitors back and host the event. Please understand current recommendations from public health officials and make choices to ensure the health and safety of our community. Here are some tips for all guests to enjoy the Red, White, and Blue Drive-Through:
Gather in groups of 10 or less with your family and friends
Remain at least 6 feet away from other groups
Spread out along the route
Wear a mask or face covering when out in public
5 commitments of containment
Our community is dedicated to the 5 Commitments of Containment. We ask you please follow these guidelines throughout your stay in Steamboat Springs.
